During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top air travel apps in Finland on the iOS platform showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Below, we provide a detailed analysis of the trends observed for each app.

Finnair saw a steady number of weekly downloads, starting at around 2.3K and peaking at 2.4K in mid-October. However, there was a noticeable decline towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dipping to approximately 1.4K in December. Active users also reflected a similar pattern, beginning at 5.2K and gradually decreasing to around 3.7K by mid-December, before a slight recovery to 3.9K in the final week.

Tallink Silja Line experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a peak of 1.3K in mid-October and a low of about 596 in early November. The app closed the quarter with a rise to 1.1K downloads in the last week of December. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 1.9K, peaking at 2.6K in mid-October, and ending the quarter at 2.1K.

Viking Line showed a consistent increase in downloads, starting at 704 and peaking at 1.3K in mid-October. Despite a drop to 572 in early November, the app saw a resurgence, ending December with 1.1K downloads. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.6K, peaking at 2.2K in mid-October, and closing the quarter at 1.8K.

Ryanair maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 800 and 955 throughout the quarter, and finishing at 624 in the last week of December. Active users remained steady, starting at 3.7K and maintaining around 3.5K to 3.6K for most of the quarter.

Finally, the Norwegian Travel Assistant app experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 910 and dropping to around 429 by mid-December, before a slight increase to 538 in the last week. Active users also fell from 2K at the start of the quarter to approximately 1.4K in mid-December, with a minor rebound to 1.5K by the end of the year.
